Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday

- a weekly meme hosted at Breaking the Spine by Jill that focuses on the upcoming releases you are eagerly anticipating.

Release Date: April 27th 2010

Readers have flocked to the "raw, gritty...genre-bending"* novels of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Now return to that seductive- and dangerous- night world as the fever rises in the war between the vampires and slayers.

Synopsis:
In the darkest corners of the night in Caldwell, New York, a conflict like no other rages. Long divided as a terrifying battleground for the vampires and their enemies, the city is home to a band of brothers born to defend their race: the warrior vampires of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

John Matthew has come a long way since he was found living among humans, his vampire nature unknown to himself and to those around him. After he was taken in by the Brotherhood, no one could guess what his true history was- or his true identity. Indeed, the fallen Brother Darius has returned, but with a different face and a very different destiny. As a vicious personal vendetta takes John into the heart of the war, he will need to call up on both who he is now and who he once was in order to face off against evil incarnate.

Xhex, a symphath assassin, has long steeled herself against the attraction between her and John Matthew. Having already lost one lover to madness, she will not allow the male of worth to fall prey to the darkness of her twisted life. When fate intervenes, however, the two discover that love, like destiny, is inevitable between soul mates.

Weekly Giveaway/Contest with My Overstuffed Bookshelf

My Overstuffed Bookshelf has a weekyl giveaway/contest. At times, there will be more than one book, but most of the time she will be featuring a weekly giveaway of one book.

For these giveaways, she will NOT contact you if you win. She will announce the winner and you will have 48 hours to respond. If she don't hear from you. the book will be passed to the next winner in line.

This week she has a very interesting series:

Blue is For Nightmares series

It begins with the dreams. White lilies, the death flower. Being chased through the woods, knowing she cannot outrun her pursuer forever. Visits from the spirit of a girl who was murdered. Threats and taunts from an unseen assailant.

But that’s only the start. When the dreams begin to spill over into Stacey’s waking life, that’s when the nightmare really begins.

The copies she has are slightly used. Click on the image above to go to the authos website for more descriptions of each book.

To enter, you MUST be a follower of My Overstuffed Bookshelf's blog. The contest is only available to the US. And you MUST leave a comment on her post to be entered in as well.

The contest is open until April 4, 2010 (hey, that's my dog's birthday ;D) and the winner will be announced on April 6, 2010.

Commenting system

Okay, I got this from In Which A Girl Reads, who got it from someone else (I forget who, sorry). And I thought this was really cool, easy, and helpful.

What it does is, allows people to reply to certain people's comments instead of having to have one long comment to several people or commenting long after someone else has.

Unfortunately, if you notice.... it deleted all the old comments, mine and yours. So if you had said something on any of the previous posts (pixie and cecile don't have to worry, I already commented back) then please go back and comment. I'm sorry for the inconvenience :(

Also, it might still revert back to the orginal system every now and again. But ignore, it just needs some time. If it continues for longer than a couple of months, then I'll get rid of it.

Anyways, check out the new commenting system.... and yes, if you'd like you can play around with it for a few days....... TAG, YOU'RE IT! ;D

Blogger Background (HELP)

Does anyone know where I could find a free background for my blog? I was looking for something dark but pretty and had 3 columns.

If someone could help me out, maybe I could return the favor... say points towards my contest, maybe even a free book?

I know that's pathetic if I have to beg, but I really need the help. So if someone could really help me out here, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
